Day 1

The group arrives in Minsk. Greeting of the group. Breakfast. A sightseeing tour “Minsk – the capital of Belarus”: Independence Square; Yanka Kupala Park; Upper Town (former Sobornaya Square) with the renovated buildings of the 17-18th centuries: Minsk city hall with the town clock, the Cathedral of Saint Virgin Mary, the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, market malls; Pobediteley avenue  – one of the main and the most picturesque highways in the city; The Trinity Suburb with the residential buildings of the 19th century where museums, antique and souvenir shops, local restaurants are located nowadays;  the Island of Tears which commemorates the warriors killed during the war in Afghanistan. Checking at a hotel. The excursion to the museum of old folk crafts and technologies “Dudutki” (4,5 hours, 40 km from Minsk). Here you will plunge into the unique atmosphere of the Belorussian province of the 19th century. You will get acquainted with the rural lifestyle and you will also figure out the sacred sense of local customs and secrets of ancient crafts. National food sampling, entertainments, a windmill, the museum of crafts, a smith shop, a cheese factory and stables are awaiting you. Coming back to Minsk. Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast. Checking out of the hotel. A visit to the new historical and cultural center “Stalin’s Line” with protective constructions, fords, crossings and military equipment dating back to the times of the Great Patriotic War. A trip to the historic and cultural museum “Zaslavl”. A sightseeing city-tour: ancient settlement “Val” and the Cathedral of Calvin (the 16th century), ancient settlement “Zamechak” (the 10th century), town square and the Cathedral of Saint Virgin Mary Birth (the end of the 18th century). The museum excursion (historic tapestries, ethnic music instruments) and the visit to the ethnographic center where everyone can see the steam powered mill Mlyn (the beginning of the 20th century); the storehouse Sviran (the end of the 19th century); the smith shop Kuznya (the beginning of the 20th century). There is an opportunity for adult groups to arrange an optional perfomance trip to one of the rural farm-estates where hospitable hostess “Pani Zosya” will show her household and treat her guests to local cuisine dinner: the gusets will have a chance to try “Krupnik” (alcoholic drink made according to the recipe of the 16th century), draniki (hash brown pancakes) and country-style pepperoni sausage cooked in a pot. The entertainment program includes also traditional songs and national music. Coming back to Minsk. Going to the railway station or to the airport to see the group off.
